Do Incense cedars have a future here?

For some reason, the Rehfeldt maps are rather skimpy on Incense cedar. Thus, we only have the following maps showing the Business As Usual (BAU) future through 2060.  What this suggests is that the future for Incense cedar is not as bright as we might at first have thought.

Notice that nowhere is the species doing really well, but in the SW, the future seems a little sketchy, even as sub-optimal conditions seem likely to expand a little in the northern central region.   It looks as though this may not be ‘the tree of the future.’  I think I stand by my rather facetious ‘Joshua trees’ suggestion.
