What is Greywater?
Gray water from households excludes toilets but includes used water from sinks, showers, baths, clothes washers and dish washers. Such water can be used again for landscape watering. The system is complex so it is best to design and install during new construction.
The Dept. of Environmental Quality is the state agency which sets the rules, but local agencies can add other permitting regulations.
