What is the average annual energy consumption per person? [Alan]

I was way wrong on this question.  If you recall (better you don’t, but I do) I suggested 16 – 20 MegaWatts.  However, it’s always better to check.  The average US utility customer (= household?) consumes 10,812 KWH annually (https://www.eia.gov/tools/faqs/faq.php?id=97&t=3).  Assuming the 2.3 family size, this would become 10,812/2.3 = 4,701 KWH.  So, my guess (where a megawatt is a thousand Kilowatts) was off the value of 4.7 MW quite considerably.
